Service Description

Bring stories to life at Studio Ember’s Craft Me a Story Studio camp! Throughout the week, campers will explore the art of storytelling through visual creation—designing characters, building worlds, and crafting narratives through drawings, paintings, comic strips, and handmade books. Inspired by artists and illustrators who tell powerful stories through images, students will experiment with storyboarding, sequencing, and scene-building while developing their own unique ideas. From single-image storytelling to multi-page creations, campers will learn how art can capture moments, emotions, and entire adventures. Each day includes a blend of guided instruction and open studio time, allowing campers to develop their stories at their own pace while exploring a variety of materials and techniques. The week culminates in a special art show where campers can display their work and share the stories they’ve created. Grown-ups are invited (but not required) to attend and celebrate the creativity, imagination, and growth of each young artist. Perfect for storytellers, illustrators, and imaginative thinkers, this camp is full of creativity, expression, and meaningful art-making! *Studio doors will open 5–10 minutes before the start time to allow for a smooth check-in and drop-off. We appreciate your understanding that we’re not able to open earlier as we prepare the space for the day’s activities. *Morning and afternoon snacks are provided each day (campers can bring their own if they prefer). Participants should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle, and come dressed for creativity—art-making can get messy!
